| Over the last days we have had to deal with a whole lot of Spammers that are trying to sell you phones, shoes, whatever, at ridicilous low prices. Again, please don't do business with them as you will only lose your money. You will never get the product you have ordered. Bernie, Russ and I are trying to deal with 'em as soon as possible before they make another victim! So, people, please help us and ignore those posts when they appear in the different forums! Thx, Videoskooter Last edited by Videoskooter; May 24th, 2008 at 02:04 PM. |

| PENALTIES FOR SPAMMING Each violation is subject to fines of up to $11,000. Deceptive commercial email also is subject to laws banning false or misleading advertising. Additional fines are provided for commercial emailers who not only violate the rules, but also: * "harvest" email addresses from Web sites or Web services that have published a notice prohibiting the transfer of email addresses for the purpose of sending email * Generate email addresses using a "dictionary attack" – combining names, letters, or numbers into multiple permutations * Use scripts or other automated ways to register for multiple email or user accounts to send commercial email * Relay emails through a computer or network without permission – for example, by taking advantage of open relays or open proxies without authorization. The law allows the DOJ to seek criminal penalties, including imprisonment, for commercial emailers who do – or conspire to: * Use another computer without authorization and send commercial email from or through it * Use a computer to relay or retransmit multiple commercial email messages to deceive or mislead recipients or an Internet access service about the origin of the message * Falsify header information in multiple email messages and initiate the transmission of such messages * Register for multiple email accounts or domain names using information that falsifies the identity of the actual registrant * Falsely represent themselves as owners of multiple Internet Protocol addresses that are used to send commercial email messages. |

| It should be noted that the scammers who post here are immediately banned and their posts deleted. Although we try to nuke these fraudulent posts as quickly as possible, there are times when it may take the site admin and mods some time to act on it so please refrain from replying to and/or sending/wiring money to these scammers as they are complete frauds. Remember: those ads with lists of cellphones, electronics, sneakers... are not real. Any person that requests you wire them money (Western Union...) is more than likely a scammer. We ban at least one or two of these criminals a day so we are doing our best to keep the forums clean of this garbage. Please help us: If you see any scams or spam postings immediately click on the "! warning sign" icon at the top right hand corner of the post so we can delete them. Thank you.

| Since the Bad Boys don't get the message, I'm pushing this one up! Friendly reminder to the members and visitors of Discomusic.com: Please do not react on these people's posts, don't send them money or do business with 'em. They don't have the goods they put on their lists and you won't have the goods after paying 'em!!! |
