Talking Ignore Option

Bernie, congratulations on the new board and THANKS for the ignore option!!! One thing, though...I'm able to create an Ignore list, but the posts from those on the Ignore lists still show. What am I doing wrong?

Pay no attention to that last post...it appears that IGNORE WORKS!
This is wonderful! If only we had this function about 3 years ago...

Wink

IMO the ignore function should be switched off. On a public board such as this, surely censorship, in any form, is the last thing that ought to be propagated? I bet the very people who preach more tolerance are the very ones who'll use the option.

But you have to admit, it would come in handy if someone started repeatedly posting long lists of ridiculously obscure early 80s tracks, while steadfastly refusing to provide any insight into them.

If I remember correctly, even you protested about that one, Q. :D

Now I'm learning! I thought the ignore list only affected the Private Messages.

I don't see the point of it on the board itself. Everybody has a scroll key so why bother to work with an ignore list.

And if somebody makes a few dull posts, it could very well be that the next ones are very interesting. So.... ;-)

It is a public board and if some threads or replies are over the top, Bernie will edit or delete them :-)

BTW, Miss Boodi, nice to see U again!
