Default Editing option???

Hey Bernie,

How does one edit an old post in this new system? Like if I wanna add something or correct something in a previously typed post in the old system....I don't see the option as I do for new posts....

And how do you get back to the general forum title page without first going to the homepage?

The discomusic.com logo in the upper left corner takes you to the forum index. If you're logged in, you should be able to edit your own posts (I just edited this one... the button is on the lower-right corner of the post).

I quite like this BB software; it's the same one used at the Steve Hoffman forums. But... why doesn't the "quick reply" box work?

EDIT: never mind, figured it out, gotta click on the "notepad" button. The setup on SH is a bit different...

Yes, that's me. I uploaded my own avatar (not easy, it appears that the max is only 11k).

Marky, relax!!!! What do you mean by old post? I just edited my previous one. Are you hitting the "save" button when you edit????

You are right about the emoticons. You can't place 'em in the textfield.

Grtz

EDIT: I got ya! I think you can only edit the post of the same day. I checked an old one of mine and yes, there's no edit-button there. Maybe the reason is:

1.Bernie had to transfer the old posts from the old to the new board and therefor they are locked.
2.Maybe this is a safety that's build in this system.

But hey, now we can pick our own Avatar and that's KEWL!!!!!
Marky, maybe let's wait till' Bernie replies on this one.

Finally have a chance to reply.

Marky: Editing your own post should be working so check it again.

Graham: I've increased the file size limit of profile pics so go ahead and reupload.

Johan: Glad you like it. I'll be expecting some bumper car pics in your profile soon :D

All: Can't figure out the smiles issue, but I'll keep at it.

All: Don't forget to go into your profile page and customize it.

What about deleting old threads? I really thought we would have that option this time around. Have the option to delete "new" threads that have been answered including some of our older threads. Having this option will increase response time for new threads. I'm sure there are other people who feel the same. In the "Ask Others To Identify A Disco Song For You" if the song has been IDeed then let's have the option of removing it as to not waste other peoples time, eh?
