Default Does this fall under the 'no mp3 requests'?

Would posting some our mixes or edits (lo res like 64kbps) for people's opinions be in violation of the 'no mp3 requests' rule? And would it make a difference if we posted only part of the mix/remix as opposed to the whole thing?

I just thought it might be fun if we had little contests on who could do the best re-edits of certain songs, like extending very short songs. But we would have to use our own copies of the songs rather than someone posting the song, and we download it and edit/remix it.

As long as the low-resolution file is hosted on your own site, I do not believe it would be a problem.

Do you mean no 'yousendit.com' links? I'm not trying to be difficult, I just want to make sure I don't break the rules.

yousendit.com or any other site should be fine. What I meant to say was that DiscoMusic.com itself would not host the file on our server.

Cool. Which board would be the best for such demos? I don't know if the discussion of 70's and 80's music would be good. I'd be concerned with the various mixes pushing discussion threads off the page too quickly. Or maybe it could be a sticky thread?

Perhaps its one of those 'wait and see' situations?

I would go by the sub genre of the music. 70s Disco in the Disco forum, Hi-NRG in the Hi-NRG... If there is enough interest maybe it will have its own category.
