WHO EXACTLY IS OR ARE/WERE 'FAMILY AFFAIR'?

I am talking about the 'band' who were responsible for one of the best & underrated disco songs of all time Love Hustle.

I am very familliar with the song i literally grew up with it as my eldest sister had a copy and as a toddler remember her playing it to death and back then as a four/five year old i thought it was one helluva cool tune so much so that in future years i would purchase my own copy and drop it in plays as a DJ to positive response .

All i know about the song was that it was the final song ever to be released on Pye Records USA (1977) where it did become a reasonable disco/dance hit esp in the West Coast area and Pye did grant it a British release on it's Casino Classics label in 1978 where it was part of a 3 track EP-the other two tracks were by the song's co-writer Jackie Trent (the song registered on Blues & Soul's magazine UK R&B/Soul singles chart).

This is what puzzles me rumour has it that Love Hustle is in fact Tony Hatch & Jackie Trent under a psuedonym (they did write & produce it) some people have claimed this while someone in fact told me that Family Affair were an interracial coed congregation!-there must be someone who can shed light.

Nevertheless it is one of the best disco songs ever created.

funny ive been playing this in my car this week, i have a casino classics promo only 12" somewhere,yes im sure this was tony hatch psuedonym.
