    1. Gypsy Kings: every note they ever produced, but ESPECIALLY that one that goes "Bang, bang, bang..."

I'd swear every restaurant in Toronto had that CD and played it 24/7 for three years after it came out.

    2. Milli Vanilli: Blame It On The Rain
    3. Jose Feliciano: Feliz Navidad
    4. Collective Soul: December
    5. USA for Africa: We Are The World
    6. Huey Lewis & The News: Happy To Be Stuck With You
    7. Phil Collins: A Groovy Kind Of Love
    8. Bobby McFerrin: Don't Worry, Be Happy
    9. 2 Unlimited: Get Ready For This (vocal version -- original instrumental was bearable until it was played to death)
    10. The Cure: Love Cats

Speaking of Liza, I read a report last week that VH1 is talking to her and her latest gay husband about doing an Osbournes-type TV show.

    Talk about Must-See TV!

    Here's my hell's playlist:

1 - Eminem - Slim Shady (Very annoying)
    2 - Eminem - Just Don't Give A F$%& (Bloody awful)
3 - Eminem - (the song that goes "suck my dick") (Disgusting)
    4 - Gorilaz - Murderer (Very negative)
    5 - Eminem - **** on you (Crap)
6 - Eminem - Bitch Please (How dare he calls women that )
7 - Cartman singing "Kyle's Mum Is A Stupid Bitch" (Funny comedy but irritating songs)
8 - Hanson - M-Bop (This song bites my arse)
9 - Human Nature - Stomp (This Australian boy band totally ripped off and ruined a great Brothers Johnson disco hit by turning it into a lollypop boy band song)
10 - Neil Diamond - Cracklin' Rosie (I can't help feeling his music is so UNCOOL)

No, not Neil Diamond!! His 60's/70's stuff was pretty good. As for his 80's material, "Heartlight" was his best song; at least it saved him from "The Jazz Singer" crap (whenever I hear "America" I'm reminded of hearing this all the time in the car in the summer of '81).

    I like "Craklin' Rosie"

"Oh I love my Rosie child
You got the way to make me happy
You and me, we go in style
    Cracklin' Rose you're a store-bought woman
But you make me sing like a guitar hummin'...

    Play it now,
    Play it now,
    Play it now, my baby..."

I respect you opinion. Basically Neil Diamond isn't Michael Bolton or Eminem terrible, I just somehow find his music very uncool. Neil's worst song is "Song Sung Blue" reason being, it's really boring. Anyhow that's just my opinion.

    FunkyDude--

I hope you didn't take it that personally; I was being a little sarcastic!! I know I'd get the sh*t kicked out of me if I publicly said I liked Neil Diamond!! As a 26 year old nonetheless!!

You're right on about Michael Bolton, though. I don't like any of his songs. Who would've guessed he would become that big, just like Kenny G!!

I read your posts and understand your frustration about not hearing good disco music in Australia. At least in Australia you do get to hear disco, even if it's only Top 40; in N.Y. we don't even have a station that'll devote ample amount of time to it. One dance station here used to be classic-heavy; now they just play an hour of mixed music which is so speeded-up and engage in what I call "fast food mixing"--that is, when the D.J. mixes in another song immediately during the first break. I absolutely hate that!! We used to have a "Jammin' Oldies" format that changed styles but never could stick with something good and now it's a Hip-Hop station.

Things are really sucking on N.Y. radio right now.

Besides that, at least I have my CD's to keep me company.

Wait a minute Graham, "Blame It On The Rain" is my song. It may be corny or whatever the case is but I like it. When I was a kid, we sung "Feliz Navidad" for our school Xmas play so it brings back a lot of memories.
"We Are The World" and "Don't Worry" is so irritating its a shame. These two belong in the "Hated Songs Hall Of Fame"!

    Robbie,

you hit right on target!! It would be a good new topic: I HATE SPEEDY SONGS!

Don't worry about it mate. Everybody has different opinions about songs. There are some songs Graham mentions in the hells list that I really like and one to mention is:

USA for Africa - We Are The World

I feel a bit sad to see it in the hells list, but with all songs there will be people who like them and people who don't like them.

Now in Australia as I always mention retro radio stations regurgitate the same top 20 disco over and over, but they are certainly no way near as bad as going to parties. I remember going to my mother's friend's daughter's wedding and in the after party they played virtually anything other than disco and the only stuff they played was "YMCA" and "Grease Megamix", now that sucked. Other than that it was a great party and everyone had a good time. I remember the year 10 formal back in the fall of 1997, the only disco song they played was "Can't Stop The Music" by the Village People. I must say parties are the worst offenders of mainstream, the disco music played only fits TIGHTLY in Australia's top 5 hits of the 70's, not the top 40.

    Funky Dude--

"We Are the World" was the "it" song in the spring of '85 over here. I was in the 4th grade when it came out, and I'll never forget my class going into the school library/resource room that morning/afternoon and watching the recording of it via satellite. I remember it quite well, only because a girl in my class had the album and we would play it just about everyday. Plus they even had T-shirts with "We Are The World" printed on them.

The last wedding I went to was about 3 years ago, and the music was so-so. They just HAD to play Ricky Martin's "Livin' La Vida Loca". My mother likes that song.

My sister's wedding five years ago played good music. Of course, it was the disco that everyone knows, but I didn't mind it at all. The surprise of that night was the D.J. playing The Notorius B.I.G.'s "Mo Money, Mo Problems". I don't listen to rap music, but I did like that song only because it sampled Diana Ross' "I'm Coming Out".
