"Shine up' is a definite Eurodisco classic. The group around Debbie Jenner (Doris D.) was very popular BITD in Holland, Germany and Belgium. She was in fact British but later moved to Holland and stayed there.
She is originally a dancer and got the attention of the producers from "Shine up" during a television show where she was dancing on Lipps Inc.'s "Funkytown". In the seventies there were not many videoclips and American artists were not coming to Europe, just for doing a playback in a popshow. They were then replaced by a ballet. In 1982 Doris D split from her co-dancers and they formed the well known Discogroup Risque.
