Putting On The Ritz - Taco

    Me again...

This track is surely second only to the fabulous "Sing Sing Sing" by The Broads (mentioned it again!) in the "classic high camp euro dance classics" stakes. I only ever owned it on 7" (it was released on RCA in the UK), but I know it was HUGE in Europe, around the same time as "Words" by FR David...I am thinking 82, although "Words" didnt hit in the UK until 83... :D

This one was massive in the US as well. I lived in California at the time and it was inescapable! It's a good thing I've always liked the song because I would have gone mad. The video was always being played on MTV and on ALL THE OTHER VIDEO SHOWS at the time (Friday Night Videos, Night Flight, and MV3).
