If this is the version that I'm thinking of (sounds much more 82 than 85), it's become a staple of retro night programming in Toronto. Which is hilarious because I never heard it until about 1999 or so.Originally Written by phrankie
Me again...
I would be interested in your opinion of Tintin's "Kiss Me" (Duran Duran's original lead vocalist)...NOT the pants remix that made the UK Top 20 in 1985, but the original mix from 1982...it was a huge cult classic in the Midlands, and much sought after on import until it was released on WEA in the UK...I know it's not Hi NRG or strictly Euro, but it had a great European feel to it, and remains one of my all time favourite tracks! :D

The version that made the UK charts was mixed by Art Of Noise, and contained many of their trademark sounds and samples, so the two versions are very easy to tell apart! :D
Evening Phrankie.
Was that after the single 'Hold it'? That came out in '83.
I liked that song a lot, both versions actually. Did he do any other dance singles similar to "Kiss Me"? Other than "Kiss Me" I've only heard his later non-dance stuff with The Lilac Time.
phrankie: That's Stephen "Tin-Tin" Duffy that you speak of and "Kiss Me" was huge back then. I thought I had this in the Vault to link to it, but I don't. I'll have to add it sometime. BTW: The killer US version was remixed by Francois Kevorkian.
Oh, that song brings back so many memories. I remember hearing it for the first time at the Marlin Beach Hotel in Ft. Lauderdale. The version that Bernie references was a huge hit in South FloridaOriginally Written by Bernie
I vaguely remember this being released as a gatefold 12" with 2 discs containing various versions (including the original, maybe?). The memory fades with time.
