17:00 Martin Circus - Ite missa es (from France)
30:30 Ganymed - It takes me higher (1978 from Austria )
34:50 Mystery - Hold on to this moment (instrumental ) (from Canada)

this mix is really great ! but made by computer or on a live party ?? In any way there re very nice tunes inside..
did by computer or not : it requests a LOT of work and preparation... I tried with a 10mn demo and redid so many times to get a nice result...

the mix looks very contemporary : no need todays house to get on the floor..

yes the 18:00 track is really great who ll recognize it ?

Aah! What it's like to have been around these forums for a while and know what other people do/mean. I won't take away Videskooter's pleasure of unveling the missing info.

That song at 18:00 --- The background is singing "worldwide party". Is that the Max Berlin song? Never had it so I can't confirm.

The song at 17:00 is called "World Tune" (european Remix) by FunkHawks, killer cut and whole Lp/12" is great, more info here as I started a thread a few months back but no one replied with any other info.

Edit: If this is a remix of Martin Circles "Ite Missa" I would have to check, cause I don't remember

Loudspeaker???, we have one of the heaviest soundsystems around  We are famous for that and certainly with the cops who are glad to write us tickets for exceeding soundlimits in public :P Hey, I just can't play Disco at a low volume

We call it a track but as you can imagine, the cars ride in all directions!

And this is our second and brand new track. Still working on that one, it will be complete (lights and deco) at the end of the year.

After an online search I discovered the song @ 17:00 is indeed "Ite Missa est" which is referred also as "world tune" the English Translation I guess, The FunkHawks Lp is apparently an European DJ remix release, I guess that explains why all the cuts here are so good, Can someone translate what they are saying in this post about the FunkHawks ?, I think it is in German :(

    No, Mix, it's Dutch!

Ik heb een aantal nieuwe exemplaren van de Funkhawks EP op de kop weten te tikken, met de Marathon tune er op en nog wat andere coole nummers, geremixt/edit door Funkhawks aka Peter Slaghuis

"I just found some new copies of the Funkhawks'EP, they have the Marathon tune on them en some other cool tracks, remixed/edited by Funkhawks aka Peter Slaghuis" (who is a Dutch remixer, also new as the man behind the formation Hithouse)

Also check: www.martincircus.com for the sleeves!

That explains who this FunkHawks are, it took all this yeas :o I guess they have other remix albums 'cause my copy doesn't have anything named "Marathon tune ", now I'll have to find out who are the artists behind the rest of the Album cuts, they sound familiar but ... :-?

    Hi remicks,

I just noticed that you live in California. In three weeks I will start my holiday in San Francisco/Los Angeles - the highlight being the Donna Summer concert in Anaheim. Now I was wondering if you could recommend any cd/vinyl (used vinyl) stores in those towns or in between. I am looking for '77 to '85 disco and funk music. Which store is a must ?

I am sure there were posts about this before but the SEARCH function in this forum doesn't seem to like me. I can't find anything.

Hi Discomuc ! ....I can't find things using the "SEARCH " either !!!! ... why is that ?????

You're in for a great vacation !!! ..including a Donna Summer concert .

I'm located mid-way between Sf and LA .... so I don't know enough about either . I just know there are less and less places ... It is my intent to one day get down around LA and focus on shops .... but without someone who knows their way around it can be quite an ordeal .... just finding places ....

I do know of Amoeba on Sunset and that is simply a must go to ...huge and fun in of itself because of it size . Once there be sure to go to Aron's which is only blocks away ..they have many bins to rumage through and have been in LA forever ....

In SF its the same .....Amoeba on Haight St . ( a little more raw ) .... and if you like that (you should) .there's another one in Berkeley across the bay .... although I've never been to it .... But Berkeley is a lot of fun in of itself and a couple of nice second hand book stores on Telegraph if you have that interest. Once over there UC Berkeley has one of the most fantastic botanical gardens tucked back in the canyon , which if you have such interests ..you won't regret visiting ....... &
Rasputin's used to be a good music store on Telegraph ..... I bet it still is ....
Rasputin's in SF is by the cable cars on Powell.... very funky .....four or five floors high with a man-operated elevator...its about CDs .....

DiscoMuc, there's also Medium Rare Music on Market Street near Castro in San Francisco for CDs of the albums from the era you spoke about.

TRAVEL TIP :D : Be sure to bring a light jacket for visiting us in San Francisco. While the temperatures in most of California are in the 90s (Fahrenheit), SF plunges to the mid 60s because of the coastal fog (our natural air conditioning)!

keefelc, thanks for your travel tips ! I will bring a warm sweater for SF especially

remicks, yes I know the NEW YORK club. Unfortunately it had to close down last month. Til then it was still run by the same owners since 25 years. That must have been the same people when you were dj-ing there. I heard that it will re-open in September with new owners.

I think the club moved places since 1981. Don't know where it first started but now it is in Sonnenstraße. I started going there in the middle of the 90's when I moved to Munich.

I'm not sure hipnogger, it sounds like something by Macho or Peter Jacques Band as the vocalist sounds familiar.
