    Koto

    Me again!

Anyone else heard any tracks by Koto? They were a Japansese influenced mainly instrumental Italo Disco act from the 80's...their biggest European hit was "The Visitors", but they also hit big with "Jabdah" and "Dragon's Revenge"...good stuff! :D

Koto or Anfrando Maiola belongs to Italo Disco scene.

"He 's specialized in instrumental music and he began as a drummer at 18y. '82 he began to make records. He took name from sound of the keyboards(synthesizer).
    His instruments were TR 808-BASS LINE-SEQUENCER MC 500 ROLAND, OBERHEIM-KORG LAMBDA and nowadays VIRUS-NORDLEAD-SUPERNOVA (drums-sampler akay 3200-air base 99)."
    (from Zeljko Vujkovic's interview - http://web.vip.hr/zeljko.vujkovic.vip/Koto.html)

Personally, I like Visitors but Champion's cue is also good! Classics are Japanese War game, Jabdah, Chinese revenge, Dragons Legend. He did some albums with some well known tunes(terminator, star wars or...) but the legend is /12" Dance Classics/ with maxi singles...

    Greetings,
    Dario

I love all the samples from the "Dragon's Lair" video game that Koto used on "Dragon's Legend," it brought back fond memories of my youth and what a big splash that game made when it came out.
