Here's the latest from DJ Satan, spinning non-stop at the ninth circle of hell...

    1. Snow: Informer
    2. Gino Vanelli: Black Cars Look Better In The Shade
    3. Eric Clapton: Layla, unplugged* version
    4. New Order: World In Motion
    5. Tone Loc: Funky Cold Medina
    6. Gillette: Short Dick Man
    7. Crystal Waters: She's Homeless
    8. Quiet Riot: Cum On Feel The Noize
    9. Snap!: Mary Had A Little Boy
    10. Eurythmics: There Must Be An Angel

*The whole "unplugged" thing is a huge scam by MTV trying to claim artistic integrity. "Unplugged" my ass! These recordings are EQ'd, compressed, and processed just as much as any studio album.

    Graham,

What could you possible hate about the Eurythmics song?

Pure pop with a Stevie Wonder harmonica solo.

I probably would also quibble about the inclusion of the New Order song and Eric Clapton.

BUT, definitely that fucking Crystal Waters song--don't make me tell my story about the LAST TIME I WENT OUT DANCING--AGAIN!!!!!!

    I will nevah forget it!!!!

    Neither will YOU!!!!!

Sorry, Marky, but I agree with Graham - I hate EVERYTHING about the Eurythmics. While everbody else at Uni liked the Eurythmics, I HATED them. Mind you, I was the only disco/funk fan there - FLYING THE FLAG FOR GOOD MUSIC!! Those who know me well know that I am a soulman, a funk PURIST!!!

Annie Lennox looks like ... hmm. well, I wouldn't like to bump into her on in a dark alley on dark night !!!!

EURYTHMICS?? - Definitely my worst nightmare!!!!!!

Graham, I have "no repairs" to your list.

He he he! I love to hate!!

Hey, now you talk about one thing that I forget.......and I hate a lot:

UNPLUGGED records. ARRRRRGGGGGHHHHHH! As you said. Unplugged "our" ass!!!! They use tons of equipments to "make up" the crappy performances of some "artists". In general, unplugged albuns are boring, boring, and even more ......BORING!

I really prefer the "big high tech" recordings than "fake unpluggeds".

    Peace

I don't hate the Eurythmics per se, but it really annoys me how their worst songs seem to be their most popular. "There Must Be An Angel" is insipid, 80s clichéd, annoying pop crap. And it's gayer than a three-way between Richard Simmons, Jimmy Somerville, and J. Edgar Hoover.
Pure pop with a Stevie Wonder harmonica solo.
    Exactly.

Oh come on. "World In Motion" is crappier than a ship full of sailors with dysentry. New Order have created some truly great songs, but this isn't one of them.
    and Eric Clapton.
I must have heard this BS unplugged version of "Layla" at least 500 times. What the hell was so great about that? What? WHAT?!
BUT, definitely that fucking Crystal Waters song--don't make me tell my story about the LAST TIME I WENT OUT DANCING--AGAIN!!!!!!

Totally agree. Unplugged is boring as Neil Diamond singing "Song Sung Blue", boring as country music and boring as Richie Benaud commentating cricket.

5 - Eric Clapton - Lay Down Sally (boring)
Funny you should mention that. I was going to put this one in originally as it's actually more annoying than Layla Unplugged. However, the Overplay factor on Layla pushes it way past Lay Down Sally... except when I'm in my friend's car, and she has this "hits of the 70s" CD with that song, and when it comes on she sings along to it...
