Need help with a few songs...

First off, I want to thank everyone in advance for assisting a new member. Although I was a mere child during disco's golden years, I am an avid fan. I have a few songs that are driving me crazy because I can't ID either the title, artist, or both:

    1) The only thing I have about the first song is that it has the phrase "Eh Ah O, Eo, Eo, E, Ah, O" repeated in the chorus. It very much has an Italo-Disco sound to it, and I believe it's from the early 80s. It's been played a million times down here in Miami over the years on radio mixes, I just have never known the title or artist.

    2) Another which I suspect to be Italo-Disco, its chorus is "carry on, carry on, in the capital". I believe I knew the title and artist once upon a time but have forgotten. Is this Two Man Sound by any chance?

    3) This one is I'm sure very easy to most of you, but the name of the artist has always eluded me: The song is "Stay" as in "why don't you stay, just a little bit longer". Great jam, don't know the artist.

    4) This might very well be Love and Kisses, but I'm not sure and was wondering if anyone could help with the title and artist: "Ohhh, for the stars in his eyes...", a very melodic sound that is reminiscent of Alec Constadinos but I'm not sure.

    5) Possibly the same song as the one above: Main chorus is "oh how I loved him, oh how I loved him". Is this "How Much, How Much I Love You" by Love and Kisses or something else?

    6) Last but not least, getting back to what I suspect is some sort of Euro-disco: "Does it work, the radio does it work?" or perhaps it's "the radio doesn't work"? Always wondered about the artist and the song title, I've googled all sorts of combinations around "the radio does/doesn't work" and can't turn anything up.

Once again, I thank you guys in advance. Although this is my first post, I've been "lurking" for awhile and find the knowledge contained here incredible.

Number five sounds like it might be Romeo & Juliet.

    #1 could be Freeez - I.O.U.

especially as you write that its been played a million times on radio. More electro than italo sounding, but John Rocca didn't have the most pristine of English accents, sooooooo.

Thank you all for such prompt replies!

After I posted, I did confirm that #2 was "Capital Tropical" by Two Man Sound, yes. Thank you for posting the link however.

#1 is not I.O.U. by Freez, although I appreciate the response. I can see where you might have thought that based on my weird phonetics in describing the chorus, LOL. No, this song is probably from the same era, but the chant I described is more of a "party" chant, the kind of thing where the D.J. could turn off the music at that point and everyone would still chant it, and it would sound good chanted in unison by a bunch of people, if that makes any kind of sense. I unfortunately don't have a sound file or know any of the other lyrics, so I'm reaching here, LOL!

I'm going to check out the Love and Kisses thing to see which one of the two it might be (Romeo and Juliet or How, How Much...), I appreciate the response.

The "radio" song is still a mystery. I appreciate the response on that one, I don't think it's the song you mentioned though. Additional details about the one I'm looking for that I should've posted originally is that it is a male vocalist, rather young voice, and in the chorus when they are saying "does it work, the radio does (doesn't) work?" there is a slight intentional distortive effect on their voice (I know there's a professional DJ term for it but I do not know it). Like I said, this one sounds very much European, I was thinking yesterday the voice sounds somewhat like Sandy Marton of "People from Ibiza" fame, but with less of an accent.

I was able to determine after posting that "Stay" was by Marx and Spencer (the version I'm thinking of from '83).

Thanks again, and I hope others can chime in to fill those missing pieces of the puzzle!

Thanks for the input Swerzer, perhaps it is, I'm going to try to find a sound bite or lyrics of the song you mention to see if it is.

Incidentally, since you are a fellow Miamian, do you ever catch the midday mix on Salsa 98.3? That's where they play this song pretty often, in fact it was just on a couple of days ago!

Hi darioale2! Thank you for the input, actually the "Stay" I was thinking of was by Marx and Spencer from '83, I found the answer on Discogs.com after posting the question.

Following on from what Dariole said, 'Stay' could be the Marx & Spencer version.
