    LOVE IS

What artist did this euro disco track late seventies??
Track sounds like something Boris Midney would of produced. Layered strings , etc...

If I remember correctly, the LP had a picture of a bedroom with a guy and a women - or something like that... Also, Im NOT 100% sure, but I believe it's on the Butterfly label..

I searched the Vinyl disco records vault with no luck

    Please help!!

I think you're looking for the album/12" I happened to pull out this week for a listen: "Love Is" by Southern Exposure on RCA.
    (Thanks, Graham )

THanks Mixmachine and NickNack for replying.

    NickNack you are right! :P

I just found a version of this.. clocks in at around 9 minutes.
Do you know if there has been a longer(more extended) release? How is the rest of the LP???

Had no idea it was on RCA! Lovely track - very Alec C. Costandino-ish..

I'm surprised this LP or 12" hasn't made the vinyl records database.

    thanks!

The 12" and the album both clock in at 11:48. Interestingly, on both my promo 12"s "Love Is" was the 'B' side.

The album is titled Headin' South (1979, RCA, AFLI-3389) with four tracks:

    1. HEADIN' SOUTH - 7:55
    2. ON OUR WAY 8) 8) - 9:41
    3. LOVE IS - 11:48
    4. TIGHT PANTS - 6:01

The title track is what they tried to push with the first 12" release (JD-11529). It's OK, got some club play but I never really got into it. Vocals were too "big" for me, if that makes any sense to you.

Track 2 is my baby, which is what they were pushing on the second 12" (JD-11667). Starts in the mid-to-low BPM range and actually feels like it pitches down, but oh, so sleazy. :D

We all love track 3. :)

    Ignore track 4.

If I wasn't such a lazy s-o-b it would be up there.

I just opened for the first time this 12" :o with "On our way" as I always used the other one with "Headin' South/Love is", nice number :P , never listened to this one before, really sleazy allright, I like the Harmonica, and the melody is sweet :D

Edit: well, I just pulled the LP and I did make some notes under "On our way" I guess it was before I used the term "sleaze" cause I wrote "Slow Disco" :o :P

My sentiments exactly. While "Tight Pants" isn't as bad an ending as say, Ultimate's "Take Me To Chinatown", it's weeeeak.
