Does anyone know if the excellent track "you're gonna get next to me" is on any CD at all? I'm after the full length 7 min LP version and not just a 3min edit.
Thanks!
It was on Classic Mellow Mastercuts Vol.3 (no length listed anywhere), but that was deleted ages ago by the look of it. You might get lucky some day I guess. I picked up a copy of Nervous Does Disco this week and I'd been after that compilation for a couple of years. Maybe I didn't look in the right places befiore.
I have a UK 12" of Bo & Ruth, but can't remember if it was 7", album or special 12" length. Loved the track when it came out and played it a lotta times, but haven't really played it now for some 28 years.
Quinny,
Thanks for the info. You should dig it out and play it sometime. I played my Bo and Ruth LP this morning and it still sounds great!
I've been thinking about this, since I wrote it. Now I'm not so sure that I have a 12". I remember playing it on the US Claridge 7" (red with fairly ornate silver lettering that looked quite tacky?) in Mallorca and have a feeling I'm mixing the 12" up with Kellee Patterson's If It Don't Fit, Don't Force It, but maybe I'm not, or maybe, like you, I have the album. For some reason, I always lump those two records and Arthur Prysock's When Love Is New together in my mind.Originally Written by QUINNY
A senior moment, if ever there was one.
I have Classic Mellow Mastercuts Volume 3 8) :D 8) and I can confirm that Bo Kirkland and Ruth Davis (one of the main reasons I bought it IIRC) is 7:10 in duration.
I also have "Nervous does disco" as well which I found by chance in a record shop in Ealing about 10 years ago. Don't you just love "Wikka wrap"! :P![]()
