Clubs in Miami - SALVATION & THE CLUB

Hey South Floridians -

Does anyone remember the location of the club SALVATION in Miami? I'm not talking about the one that was on Alton Road that opened in the '90's (formerly known as DIAMANTE), but the original one that was open in the late '70's that was formerly a real Salvation Army store.

Also, where was THE CLUB? It closed in 1984..

I can't remember where they were. My mind was "cloudy" at the time.

Check it out here, Salvation opened in the early 80's, I was there a couple of times in '82, not 100 % sure, but I don't think they lasted long after that, they had a great sound system and the club really had a NYC club vibe, with huge ceilings and lots of dark hiding places.

Oh yes............I remember it well.......but where the heck was it located, i.e., on what street?

I used to go to Salvation in the early '80's. It was in the old Salvation Army building in downtown Miami around 2nd ave. Adjacent to the former WTVJ-TV studio.
