    Hazell Dean

Hazell Dean is regarded by many fans as the Queen of UK HINRG - She has had a long career on the scene and is still popular with fans today... Any favourite tracks ?

I have to say that I think that Hazell's version of "Love Pains" isn't as good as the Yvonne Elliman original or Liza Minelli's version...but that's just my opinion!! :D

"Turn It Into Love" is a great track. This tune was also done by Kylie Minogue.

"They Say It's Gonna Rain" is also a killer.

Too many faves to mention...

You are quite correct Rich... The Yvonne Elliman version is superior - a true dance classic.

As I recall it, didn't Hazell's version and Liza's version both come out around the same time?

Also, didn't Yvonne do a re-recording of this song on Moby Dick Records in the early 1980s?

Liza Minelli released love pains in 1989 (I think) - and Hazells version may have been 1990 - will have to dig them out to check.

Hazell Dean is pretty awesome. I love her voice. I think my favorite tracks from her would be "They Say It's Gonna Rain," "Whatever I Do," and "Always Doesn't Mean Forever."
