    Hi guys

As I was searching on the web about "pump up the volume" I found something very interesting about the samples that used in "pump up the volume" and I realize that there are too many versions of this song :o (It could well be a discussion to a new thread).Someone made a reference to the version with female voice but he/she didnt give more informations.

I have the 2 most known versions on vinyl. Here is 1 of them and this is the the best known and the most played. None of them starts with the female voice but I'm thinking that the cut you heard was "Mixed in"

There is the possibility that you are confusing "Pump up the Volume" by MARRS with the Eric B. & Rakim's remix of "Paid in Full" in which he uses his "own" voice sample (used in MARRS' release) repeating "Pump up the Volume, Pump up the Volume" along with the bass riff from Dennis Edwards "Don't Look Any Futher" and a female vocal sample from some indian song, they had a video for this and it was played in the clubs, and if I remember correctly there was a dub version of this, and the song is just as long as MARRS' coming in at 7:13 the tempo is noticably slower than the traditional Pump Up the Volume, also.

    PUMP UP THE VOLUME

What people seem to forget is that PUMP UP THE VOLUME - M.A.A.R.S. was a take off from My Love Is Guaranteed - Sybil.

There is a version with a female talking in the start of the song. It sounds like a sample taken from a radioshow.
Something "hi ya all from the bronx you wanna hear" then it goes to the sample "this is gonna be the greatest record of the year cheeeck it out" from a rap record on tristar.

I think its the uk remix 1 that came out. It is certainly not the on US version.

This one might have the versionhttp://www.discogs.com/release/248651
