I spent my youth (well, teenage years anyway!!) listening to French radio station Europe 1, especially the Top 50 rundown and the Hit De Club rundown on Sunday afternoon and evening...one song (amongst many!) that I remember from the Hit De Club charts was "The Girl Of Lucifer" by Monte Cristo...can anyone tell me where they were from and what else they released? They were sort of a Modern Talking sounding group, before Modern Talking arrived, but sounded more Italian than German...hope someone else remembers them and can help me!!! :D
Monte Kristo was french project with two songs in french charts - in september 1985 Girl of Lucifer(peak # 13) and Sherry Mi-Sai ( # 91).I think it was side project Magazine 60 with same persons - for Monte Kristo working composers and producers Jean Luck Drion (Chocolat's-Kings of Clubs and many others acts)and Dominique Regiacorte.I know 3 singles:
Girl of Lucifer(5:30)+Girl of Lucifer(instrumental)(5:32)
Sherry Mi-Sai(6:02)+Money For Your love(4:50)
Lady Valentine(5:40)(also solo Drion single)+Give me your Night(5:36)
On Amazon.fr you can find two cd compilations with audio samples - Les Tubes 80 vol.2( Girl of Lucifer) and Les Tubes vol.3(Sherri Mi-Sai).
About 4th single La Vie d'un en fant/+instrumental I don't know nothing...
