As usual Graham, Celine "argh" Dion is the "TOP CRAP" of the list. or would be better

Bon Jovi, comes closely, and "Hottie and the BADfish" later.

    Peace.

Sorry, Graham, but now you've crossed the line:

"See You in September" is one of my favorite ("favourite" to you) oldies. I love all that harmonizing!

Sorry, but it absolutely drives me up the wall... it's up there with "Yakety Yak" and of course "Big Girls Don't Cry" for the gouge-my-eardrums-out-with-a-plastic-picnic-knife level of annoyance.

Annie Sprinkle will be the next Pope before I change my mind on that.

Well, I own all those songs, except the Glass Tiger, and I'm not sure if I have that Hootie & The Blowfish.

I like some more than others, BUT

"Love Shack" is a big fave AND

"Big Girls Don't Cry" is a favorite from my childhood. I CAN understand how it might grate--BUT it was great back in the early 1960's.

How about Lou Bega's "Mambo #Whatever" (was it #5?). That song annoys me BIGTIME and what's more, I find it repellant cause he got a Grammy nomination for his "vocal"!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Luckily, Lou appears to be a "one-hit wonder"--so I guess that's our payback.

As I mentioned in the "Love Shack" post ARRRRRRGGGHHHHH!!!!! I'M SICK SICK SICK SICK SICK SICK SICK SICK SICK SICK SICK OF LOVE SHACK!!!!!

As for Hootie & The Blowfish, they did a crappy boring song called "Let Her Cry" or was it "Let Her Be". I call this group "Rootie & The Holefish". In Australia the word "root" means sexual intercourse. Pardon my use of sick language but I like taking the mickey out of some band names like Hootie & The Blowfish (Rootie & The Holefish  ), Foo Fighters (Poo Fighters  ), Eminem (MMs chocolates  ), Offspring (Offsprog  ), Backstreet Boys (Backside Boys  ), NSYNC (some one called them NSTINK I like that one  ) etc....

    Graham--

I just read this thread tonight and it looks like I won't be the only one ready to put my cat o' nine tails to some good use; "See You In September" is a great 60's pop tune!! They also recorded "I Got Rhythm", another great song (which, BTW, was recorded by Ethel Merman on her legendary disco album!!). The group is called The Happenings (I should've mentioned that earlier).

"Big Girls Don't Cry" is a signature Frankie Valli song. I'm not as crazy for this song as I am for the aforementioned songs, but I was surprised by some of your choices.

I have a cassette single of B-52's "Love Shack". Would you like to have it?? Honest!!
