Hi Neil! I remember Shooting Party but not that particular track
I found a 12" single the other day by THE SHOOTING PARTY - It is called I KNOW THAT MOOD - It was released in 1985 on Siren records - I had never heard it before.. It is Euro sounding but with rock guitars thrown in as well - anyone remember it ?

Hi Rich - Well you aint missing anything.. its Ok but nothing sensationalOriginally Written by phrankie
Wasn't it 'Safe in the arms of love' that was the more popular?
Hello Davicillo ! Yeah - that is a great HINRG/Europop track - they also did - Lets hang onOriginally Written by Davicillo
I have that song on a compilation.Really terrible. Can't remember it being played anywhere.
I can't speak for myself but a good friend of mine from New York City told me that "I Know That Mood" was a big hit at the big NYC Hi-NRG nightclub called The Saint. Shooting Party had one other pre-PWL single called "Trick Of The Light" as well that's probably even a little more Rock-influenced than "I Know That Mood."
The Saint... I have read/heard so much about this legendery club - I wish I had been old enough to go to New York and dance at the club !Originally Written by gunbuck
I only went twice, it truly deserves it's legendary reputation. It had it all, wonderful lighting, music, stylish people, it was the pinnacle for meOriginally Written by Energyguy
I know that mood by shooting party was a Saint Anthem and a True collectable. I know, I have a copy. :)
I have a copy of Shooting party-Safe in the arms of love (Extra beat boys remix) its truly magical and there wasnt a spare space on the dancefloor in rockies in manchester when les cokell put this baby on the decks..awesome indeed..:icon_lol::icon_lol:

My favorite song by Shooting Party was "I Go To Pieces", especially the DISCONET Remix with the long extended intro.

Its a pity SHOOTING PARTY did not release more tracks/or an album. I don`t think they did very much sales wise which is a shame.
Fans should check out Technique "Tell Me" on Almighty which is the same singer (Sprout) and also produced by Phil Harding! A great track!
Here's a 2001 interview with Sprout.....
