could someplease please share your experience

buying music from " GEMM?" First of all, what is it, a store or an individual? Are the recordings, vinyl albums in particular, original pressings? Where did THEY get them? Are they guaranteed in case they're lost or damaged in the mail? I seem some titles I'm interested but I had one bad experience buying a recording through the mail and I'm trying to avoid making the same mistake again. Thanks.

GEMM (Global Electronic Music Marketplace) is a consortium of record dealers from around the world selling under one roof / website. Many of the records and CDs are original pressings, but they also carry reissues and even bootlegs. GEMM is a great service and I've ordered tons of times over the years with only a few minor problems where dealers chose to cancel my order cause they didn't have the item in stock anymore. Use the feedback ratings from other buyers as your guide. By far one of the best places to buy used records on the internet. Highly recommended.

Gemm is also a great reference tool. Way better than places like allmusic, who often tend to get the details wrong (or miss them all together).
For verification of records, Gemm is one of the best sites available. As their slogan goes "If you can't find it, forget about it".

I've never bought stuff there myself though. Some of the prices are ridicoulous!

GEMM can be pricey but if you search around you can usually find a bargain. I've been ordering from them since I came to this site (the last time being today) and so far only one problem. And, that problem was a difference of opinion between I and the seller regarding his 'grading' of the vinyl, not about being ripped off or anything.

Just take your time, look for the sellers with the good feedback ratings and, very important, search different parameters on what you want. Sometimes artists and/or titles are misspelled but what your stuff is out there. :)
