Some of their cover art is credited to STUDIO GRAFFITI. No other info on the jacket.
Yeah, and some of their music is credited to fingernails on chalkboards and kittys in heat. :P
:P :P :P You summed it up perfectly Marky.Personally I never liked much of Lime's output and probably because of the vocals.
but I always felt they would have gone a lot farther with a more melodic male vocalist. I was pretty surprised to hear one of their songs ("Babe, We're Gonna Love Tonight") playing loud and clearly in Mariah Carey's movie bomb, "Glitter."
Lime had one of the longest charting tracks in the history of the Billboard dance charts.it was 'Your Love'. Personally i loved most of their tracks. They didn't do any cover versions either. Unexpected Lovers, Gold Digger, Come And Get Your Love, Wake Dream,Agent 406. Their best was i think 'Guilty'.I loved the vocals.
Lime was a GREAT band! And don't forget "I'll Be Yours" and "It's You".
The unique style of Denis and Denyse Lepage, the high vocals, the nervous synths, I love it :D
A Feast, a Feast, a smorgasbord at least!
The music by LIME was superb - AGENT 406 is an all time favourite - I am lucky enough to own the Prism 12" release. A true GEM
Studio Graffiti was located in Montreal. They've either gone out of business or changed names as I could find no record of them within Montreal or the province of Quebec.
After their first album, they used airbrush artwork. But I prefer the first album using photography. With the model with the New Wave wig. Holding the lime. I'd like to see what she looks like now. And if she goes grocery shopping dressed like that.
"Because there's music in the air."
Being in Toronto we got BOMBARDED with Lime music in the clubs (Lime being based in Montreal) but it was ALL GOOD!! I especially like "you're my magician" and "guilty"...What I like about Lime is, for better or worse, they had their OWN original sound, sorta like Bobby O had his.
we can fly...above the sky...
no-one's mentioned On The Grid!
No high-pitched girly vocals, just a male (slightly sounding) vocoder effect, but probably just his normal voice eh!
Their best track by miles. :icon_lol:
Oh yeah "on the grid" is a fine fine fine track it is great it is so computerized i love it.
and "your my magician" and "angel eyes" and i agree they are distintive.
i do understand that they would not be to some people's taste i guess.
but i love em.
