    Thsi is Madness !!!!!

I know that many of you don`t particularly rate the recordings made by Ian levine on his NIGHTMARE label... I must admit that much of it was "below par" compared to his earlier stuff on RECORD SHACK. However, This past week I have been trawling through the NIGHTMARE catalogue and re-discovered an absolute gem called THIS IS MADNESS by his top artist Evelyn Thomas. I honestly believe this was one of her finest moments - unfortunately it was released at a time when clubbers were moving away from the HINRG sound - and it got very little attention. The vocal delivry is a killer and the synth work is sensational. It is worth checking out ! It regularly features on HINRG compilation CD` if you cannot track down the original 12" release.

Like so many other producers who cranked out releases by the dozen every month (such as Farina/Crivillente, Dave Rodgers and an army of other Italian producers), Levine put out a lot of junk. But once in a while, there's a true gem to be found.

Thanks for the heads up on this one. I'll search through my stuff and give it another listen.

That one'll be hard because I don't like "The Visitors" at all!

One of my guilty pleasures from the Nightmare label is "Less Than Lovers, More Than Friends" by Scott SomethingOrOther (can't remember his last name). It's a pleasant tune, but Scott is not a gifted singer so I figured he slept with Ian and this was his little 15 minutes of fame he was promised in return.

LOL - Scott Stryker - Cute but.... he also released another track called SCIENCE FICTION. Another guy who released very mediocre material was called ROB KEANE - No talent at all.....What was the point....

Apparently, you've forgotten all about "Cruising In The Park" by Martyn Lacey & Angie Gold. :D The music's good but once the lyrics start...heaven help us, it's downhill fast in a spectacularly embarassing and totally tacky way! I mean, Martyn sings about being married with children and cruising the park bushes at midnight for hot mansex! :o How Angie ever got herself involved in this is beyond me.

Yeah - Not sure why Angie got involved with such a dire track !
