Hi guys, this 12" is sold in Italy as if it would be gold made. The price is about 45US$, what is the real price in the US (if it could be found)?

To the best of my knowledge, there never was a 12" release of LTLYB... because the full version is the album version.

There were two different LPs that bore the title "Love To Love You Baby" - the original with 5 songs on side two, and a reissue with the "Try Me, I Know We Can Make It" medley on side 2.

The original LTLYB album shouldn't be too expensive as it sold in huge numbers. The reissue with "Try Me" is a little harder to find, but likewise, it's not like it's some obscure promo release...

The LTLYB/Try Me, I know we can make it 12" was a punched hole copy, not a re-issue.

It's harder to find than the LP of LTLYB in its original form.

There was a 12" promo edit of Love To Love You that was released in 1977 according to the label. It was on Casablanca and is a little over 6 min and.....IT SUCKS!! This horrable version is avalible on CD on Disco Nights Vol. 3: The Best Of Eurodisco, if this CD is still in print.

The 12" do exists! Casablanca NBEP 7041 with picture cover from 1976 (Try me on the flip) and is worth US $ 10-15 maximum.
The original version is on Oasis records

I have the 1976 Casablanca album "Get Down And Boogie", and Love To Love You clocks in at 4:40. It splices the first half of the original 45 version with the electronic portion around 8:00 and 11:00-13:00 (if you have the LTLY album).

That Casablanca box set has the full long version on CD.

I also believe the orginal Oasis LP is on CD as well.

IMHO the best edit is on the On The Radio compilation

What does the expression 'punched-hole copy' mean in the music bizz? Bootleg or something?

    Thanks,

"Punched Hole" copies, I presume, are promos. I often buy used records with that hole punched in the covers; CD's too.

i always thought they were for export,i dont mean as a new release. after a period of time and a record hadnt sold so well it was drilled or had the corner cut, they were then "dumped" very cheaply on other countries (thank you america ) the cut was to say duty had been paid this system was replaced in the mid 70s with a duty sticker 5p (5 english pennies) this lasted a few years then nothing was cut or stickered im sure my theory was correct for the 60s/70s as i can remember shops selling these cheaply and their entire stock was cut, also market stalls selling cut motown imports for peanuts (though i bought "many" as a kid i wish i could go back in time and get the rest !!) quite what that means today for a cut c.d. i dont know. if you want to know about bootlegs ask simon soussan im "Sure" heeel be able to tell you something about that!
