Here's wishing a happy Independence Day to the only forum member (as far as I know) who is a veteran of the US Armed Forces. This is a special week for, Nick, I'm sure....last Sunday, he was able to celebrate being free to be who he was, and today he celebrates defending the great country that gives him these rights and freedoms.
Some people people wear their "patriotism" on their sleeve, waving flags in support of the concept of America that fits their own myopic world view, and spewing forth their ideas about "patriotism" all over the 'net and in the media, as if the concept of America and Americans can only belong to those that they deem fit...............others quietly go forth and serve their country, asking nothing in return but a fair shake.
Let us salute the latter!
