Was rhere a 12" of this song? Was it ever available (or is it now available)? I really like this song and always thought it was too short.

Were the alternate mixes of these cuts released back in 76? I know that we just recently got that awesome alternate mix of "High Energy" on CD but was it ever a 12"? How about the long version of "IGLMDTW"? I am a huge fan of the "Disco Supremes" (I count "Let Yourself Go" as an all time disco fave) but cannot find too much info on their 12"/club releases on the net.

Well, I did discover through some digging that "High Energy" wasn't a single...boo! Did it receive club play despite? I'd be interested in finding out all of the singles culled from "High Energy"/"Mary, Scherrie & Susaye" were and club interest in the Ross-less Supremes.
The disco Supremes were so underrated *sigh*
I think the "extended" version of "I'm Gonna Let My Heart.." was released on a Promo Only 12" if I remember from the box set notes, but I've never seen one on ebay or anywhere else.. The Alternate version of High Energy was unreleased until the 70s Anthology.. Aside from the former, none of the Supremes' disco singles were released on 12" or with special disco mixes :(
Here are the chart positions of their disco singles (from the 70s Anthology liner notes).. All of them were stand alone singles AFAIK, except for High Energy, which charted anyway..
1975:
He's My Man: #1 Dance Chart/Sales, #69 R&B
Where Do I Go From Here: #3 Dance Chart/Sales #93 R&B
1976:
I'm Gonna Let My Heart Do The Walking/High Energy: #1 Dance Chart/Club Play
I'm Gonna Let My Heart Do The Walking: #40 Pop/#25 R&B
You're My Driving Wheel/Let Yourself Go/Love, I Never Knew You Could Feel So Good: #5 Dance/Club Play
You're My Driving Wheel: #85 Pop, #50 R&B
Let Yourself Go: #83 R&B
They did really well in the discos, considering the seeming lack of support from Motown and the dismal Pop/R&B positions..
:(
I think "Let Yourself Go" just came out a year too late...had it been 75/early 76 it might've faired better as the sound is more driving early disco...by 77 we had "Love Hangover" and slicker Euro sounds coming into the fore...disco had sort of moved on in terms of the pop charts. Less of that organic, musician based sound and into the slicker sounds of the late 70's. My view only mind you.
"Feel what I'm feelin'!"
The 'Disco Supremes' :) as you call them were popular at the Gallery. Nicky Siano always played cuts from their albums and on that Richard Long sound system they sounded outrageous. High Energy, Driving Wheel and especially Let Yourself Go were club favorites. IGLMHDTW was HUGE, the crowd going nuts as Siano extended the drum rush. Great times. Great music. My favorite album cut is Come Into My Heart. Gawd, I love that song and the way the engineer morphed her voice. Slick and sweet. :D
Bit confused..............
were the tracks off the High Energy LP remixed for Disco's or were they the same cuts ?
What LP were the other cuts from ?

This cuts are from the "Mary, Scherrie & Susaye" LP, this complete album is great, I love another cut here "Sweet Dream Machine" sounds like a movie score to me..What LP were the other cuts from ?
Ohh totally agreed!! That track - "Come Into My Life" totally blew me away when I heard it. That pretty much sealed it for me, that album was one the best, and most underrated Supremes records.. Especially Side 1, but I don't think there's anything on that album that I don't enjoy.. I read on another board that all the 70s Supremes albums may be on CD sooner than later, so fingers crossed! :)Originally Written by NickNack
