BLOOD BEACH!!! I've been wanting to see that movie for 20 years!! I just love the idea of a beach eating people!
It's impossible to get a hold of over here though

As Leonard Maltin puts it: "Not very bloody (thank heavens) and not very good either"

Sadly, I don`t think it is avaiable anymore on video and have never come across it on DVD... It is begging for a release...
I just LOVE low budget horror movies... KINGDOM OF THE SPIDERS with William Shatner is a favourite, along with PIRANHA !

A spoiler here so stop reading: The thing that is doing the eating in BLOOD BEACH is a giant sandworm. And the film is not that bloody, contrary to the fetching title. When the worm finally raises it's pre-cge head during the not-so-grand finale you don't really see it do any explicit munching, even then. The best bit: a guy gets his privates bitten off by the bug at the very beginning. Not great, but sure beats recent borefests like "Boogeyman".

Yesterday we watched "The Island Of Death", the disturbing shocker that only recently had its uncensored release on DVD.

Now, it definitely is not as gory as " TheTexas Chihuahua Massacre" but it surely is more sicko then "Last House On The Left", so if you buy or rent it, be prepared!

That Nico Mastorakis film was always a guilty pleasure on vhs - I would love to have seen it in a cinema! - The Strange Vice Of Mrs Wardh is out now on dvd : Edwige Fenech rolls on a fur bed as her secret lover showers her with glittering pieces of broken glass, in slow motion. Assassins wear black gloves. Women wear layers upon layers of make up and get into catfights in jet set parties in Rome. Hideously gory, stylized murder set pieces. More kinky sex. Infectious mock-Brazilian lounge music. Edwige disrobes with wild abandon. Direction by Sergio Martino. What else do we need?!!!
