I've just put a mixed cd in the vault that has incredible vintage stuff on it, very rare tracks but I need some help with the identification coz' there are no artists mentioned. The CD: DJ Milo, Unscene, Live At The Cat Club 1979 Be careful with the titles BTW. "Rock your baby" f.i. is not the George Mc Rae track.

IN Red what they could be. Without hearing them, very difficult to know as the BPMs are very different in some instances.Originally Written by Videoskooter
:o Uh... "Girl, You Need a Change of Mind".Originally Written by QUINNY
And given Quinny's entries, maybe # 22 is "Love's Coming/Baby Love" by USA European Connection.
Nicky: It's been a long day, and I ain't gettin' any younger, ya know?
Don't feel bad, I just typed USA European Express but caught it before you guys could see it. :lol:Originally Written by QUINNY
While you guys were so kindly looking for the tracks, I searched the net for this one and finally find more info put still not the artists-list. The CD is a concept by a current DJ, but indeed with vintage tracks. Some interesting info on:

Quinny, 16 certainly ain't Ashford & Simpson, this is a soul jam, early 70's with a sort of country fiddling (remember Charlie Daniels Band, maybe it's a clue). I know, it's very difficult when you can't hear the track.
Already many thanx to all for helping me out :D

Sooooo, none of 'em could be correct.
Is 18.'Feelin Love' an electronic instrumantal? If so it could be by L.E.B. from '78.
Yes San, it's a complete instrumental, the beat is comparable to the Patrick Cowley stuff. 100% synth!
22. Tribal chant (in Spanish, could be compared to Titanic's "Sultana" and the "Burundi black" record.
I found samples of the first 6 songs here:
http://www.djnexus.com/main_view.cfm/l/45428/Nat
1. Disco Power - ??? (this is NOT by U.N. (Tony Green produced))
4. Funk reaction - Lonnie Smith (definitely)
5. Love Vibration - Joe Simon (definitely)
8. Got to make the best (of a love situation) - Mystic Merlin
9. The Rock - East Coast (sampled by Modjo on "Lady (Hear me tonight))
17. New York Strut - Fist 'o' funk Orchestra
18. Feelin' Love - L.E.B. Harmony (this is an instrumental with a bit of an "I feel love" synthesizer sound)
21. Cream (always rises to the top) - Gregg Diamond Bionic Boogie
I also found another sample elsewhere that proved "Get down" was NOT Gene Chandler.
Hope this helps![]()
