    rare findings

Over the last few month, i have bought some pretty rare albums/12"

LOVE PROPHECY: belle & the beast. Very similar to romeo & juliet by alec Costandinos. the sound is crystal clear and the arrangements first class.

FUGA DA NEW YORK 12". Adaptation from the john carpenter's escape from new york movie. Dark number moroder's style

SORAYA: ST. Clearly influenced by early jacques Fred petrus & mauro malavasi stuff. Best track "IF"

LOVE CONNECTION: HOT BLOOD 12 ". Even though it came out in 82 it sounds very mid tempo disco.

SYNCOPHONIC ORCHESTRA: COLUMBIA A SPACE SYMPHONY. It came out in 81 and was directed by TONY RALLO. It sounds like sumeria lp. Side 1 is very good and includes the track THE CONQUEST which is in the same vein as SYNERGY by alec COSTANDINOS

PARIS CASABLANCA. A very good album. all the tracts are very well done.

I love the Love Prophecy LP, despite the muddled arrangements. The (intentionally?) hilarious dialogue is just the icing on the cake. :)

I have started collecting disco records while i was living in Australia, and now that I am back to Reunion island (in indian oceon) i keep on collecting.....

What amazes me is the huge amount of good disco album to discover. Especially rare french production like LOVE PROPHECY, a pure light seventies delight... Since i've bought it 6 month ago, i've been playing it once every second day...

For every alec costandinos fan, i would suggest looking for that COLUMBIA lp. His name is nowhere present on the sleeve, but it sounds so much like his work. The album is credited to the SYNCOPHONIC ORCHESTRA. On the front cover there is a drawing of the space shuttle COLUMBIA.

Would this actually be the last contribution to disco by alec costandinos. It came out in 81...
