PLEASE HELP THIS STUDIO 54 regular identify a song!

Hello! This is my first time here. PLEASE make it a happy one. I grew up in the world of DISCO... STUDIO 54, XENON, 12 WEST, Bonds International Casino, etc. I never knew the name of a song...goes something like this: WE CAN COME TOGETHER...FEEL THE PASSION ( MAGIC?) INSIDE ME....THEN SOME MORE LYRICS FOLLOWED BY: TAKE ME THERE TAKE ME THERE TAKE ME THERE .... THIS TRIP IS WHAT I NEED... That is all I can remember. I heard it on KTU and they said VINTAGE SASHA or something like it. SUre would love to find out what it is called and the artists' name and where I can find it. If I get a title I will look first on eBay. Thanks! Hope to hear from you! Also, I enjoy sharing stories about STUDIO 54 and other NYC clubs.

    Need input

Hi there, and welcome. I am sure that all of us want to make your arrival here a positive experience, but I think we need a little more input to help you...

For instance, are we talking male or female vocals? What year or was played in sequence with...? Sounds a bit like...? Fast or slow beat? Orchestral, or electronic? Anything else that might help us.

Based on the lyrics I was going to suggest either 'Paradise' or 'Let's go together' by Change. But thats just because they are one of my alltime favorite bands and the lyrics sort-of-almost-but-not-quite fit.

Let us know, nothing more fun than solving these puzzles.

    I'm sure it is:
Fire Night Dance- by Peter Jacques Band- 1979
    produced by Mauro Malavasi-
    8-minutes+ percussive, strings-led, high-bpm male vocal...
    http://www.discomusic.com/records-more/465_0_2_0_C/

Some sample lyrics(that I can decipher, anyway):
"Moving in together, bursting lights all around me,
Now we're here forever, getting ready to go now..."
    and
"We can come together,Feel the action inside me,
Heads are getting heavy, I can make it alone now...
I'll take what I'm after, This trip is what I need..."

A PURE DISCO CLASSIC!!!(I too have fond memories of it...)

After reading the words that you wrote, the first song that came to my head was Fire Night Dance- by Peter Jacques Band- 1979 as Id by srg. I have this record too and is a very Hi Energy song.

The other 3 songs on the LP.

    Walking On Music
    Devil's Run
    Fly With The Wind

All are great Very Hi Energy songs by Jacques Fred Petrus
    circa 1979.

These are songs that were played at Studio 54 and 12 West.

  Oh, maarten... You know those of us who know your love of JFP are in stitches. Right producer, wrong group. And 'littlemacho' is down one point. :D

    hey Saint

isn't "Fire Night Dance" just one of the best disco albums ever? The "Welcome Back" album by the same group is also one of my favs. I've never seen either on CD, have you? I'd pay just about any price for music that good...

    THANK YOU SRG !!!!!!!!!!

THANK YOU SRG!!!!!!!!!!!! THANK YOU SO VERY MUCH! YOU ARE CORRECT! I remember it so well now. I can even remember the section of the dance floor at STUDIO 54 where I danced to it. This was one song that I was never able to buy. Now there is only one more I have been looking for. I guess I would have to hum it or play it on the piano. I am truly greatful for you identifying this one though. I appreciate all of the other people who have tried to help as well. This is such an amazing site, I love it. I do believe that most of us who danced together years ago share a certain bond. It would be wonderful if we could get together to dance again, even if for only one night. I tried to rent STUDIO 54 a few years back before CABERET went in. It was sad to see it vacant. They stripped the place. NO more lights! I couldn't do it all by myself. Can't we find a kazillionaire and re-open the place? I'll consider moving!
