Recently heard a beautiful track on a radiostation which was "Surprise" by André Gagnon. It's a great Disco instrumental. I saw Bernie has put it in the vault but does somebody know if it's still available in one or another form?

There's a "Complete Best Of" from Japan that's still available. You can get it on Amazon Canada. It's a bit pricey, CD$44.00. Check eBay first...

Thx Euro, I definitely will be looking for that one. I don't know his other works though or if they are genuine Disco.

I grew up in Montreal in the 70's and Andre had HUGE hit in 1976 with a disco instrumental titled "Wow". Nowadays it would be better listened to than danced to...it's a bit bombastic by today's standards.

Gagnon is actually better-known for his easy-listening-esque piano music. Last time I checked, he had many albums still in print, but I don't think any of them were his disco material.

Hi guys,
I have the LP with Wow and Surprise on it........the rest is pretty naff really, not Disco in my view.

I also have the 12" - it contains both BIG tracks on each side. Picked it up on Ebay last year, not expensive !
