Two unknown tracks -- can anybody help?

Hi,

Some time ago a was listening to a radio show which broadcasted some great oldschool stuff, cool grooves and funk from the early 80s. Unfortunately they didn't announce each tune they played, which leaves me with a few tracks of which I very much would like to know their respective artist/titles.

Hopefully there's someone on this forum who can help me out -- I'd sure appreciate it! (please click below to listen to the low-bitrate Mp3's I created of these tracks). I'd say that the second one is going to be the hardest, because it's entirely instrumental.

Track 2 is 'Soul Street' by Swain & Jolley (the guys behind Imagination). Track 1 sounds more American but I'm not familiar with it I'm afraid.
