    My Diana Ross Top 10

OK, I know she's about as popular with some members here as Donna is with Quinny  but I personally love her to bits (quelle surprise! ) & I'm sure many people do so here's my top 10:

    1.Love Hangover (76)
2.No One gets The Prize (79)
    3.Upside down (80)
4.Ain't No Mountain High Enough (70)
    5.The Boss (79)
    6.Muscles (82)
    7.Never Too Late (81)
    8.Take Me Higher (95)
    9.Lovin Livin & Givin (78)
10.Chain Reaction (86) (mainly for the promo video!)

This was more difficult than the Donna top 10! It wasn't easy leaving out classics like Remember Me, Work That Body & Top Of the World but you have to be cruel sometimes!

SD, thank you for making life so easy. I could post a top ten but it would be exactly the same as yours.

Definitely on number one: "Love Hangover". The first time I heard that one I was hooked and I still am. The slow sensuous Discogroovez that boost in a bass and violin extravaganza. Superb. "Theme from Mahogany" is also one of my favourites.

Sandy, so we're only doing the danceable records here, right?

    My picks:

    1) LOVE HANGOVER (especially the 10 minute Disconet Remix!!!)
    2) THE BOSS
    3) UPSIDE DOWN
    4) AIN'T NO MOUNTAIN HIGH ENOUGH
    5) LOVIN, LIVIN & GIVIN
    6) CHAIN REACTION
    7) IT'S MY HOUSE
    8. I'M COMING OUT
    9) I AIN'T BEEN LICKED
    10) TAKE ME HIGHER

Predictable??? ...I'd dig deeper if I had another 10 to list...like some of the duets with Marvin (DON'T KNOCK MY LOVE & MY MISTAKE) in particular.

    4. The Boss
    3. Love Hangover
    2. Ain't No Mountain High Enough

Feel free to include any Miss Ross tracks Marky. It wasn't my intention to limit the choices to her danceable stuff. I included 'Muscles' which isn't that danceable IMO; it's just that, personally, my favourite tracks of hers happen to be mainly the danceable ones.

Yeah I know what u mean Marky, but don't u think they were naff in a fun,camp,well-made kinda way? :-? Don't you find that camp things can often be naff but in a nice way? Am I making sense or is it the ramblings of a simple mind?

Sorry but I thought Work That Body was one of the worst things she ever recorded. If this was an example of her "songwriting" prowess...(written with hack-for-hire Paul Jabara (too cruel?) and Ray Chew ( now of "Showtime At the Apollo")...this seemed to signal the beginning of the end. Miss Ross needed a PRODUCER to say "NO baby that's not good enough" to her. A Quincy Jones woulda helped at this juncture in her career...like he did for Patti Austin and her wonderful "Every Home Should Have One" LP.

"Muscles" always seemed like the drag queen song Michael Jackson wanted to sing....but couldn't...so he gave it to his alter-ego, Miss Ross. I bet Miss Jackson lip-synched to this in his "bedroom" ....when Webster & MaCauley Culkin weren't "sleeping over."

    Only "Bubbles" knows for sure...and he ain't talkin'.....YET!!! :P
