    Why no Teddy?

Since joining this site I have not notice many members to include Teddy Pendergrass in any top song list or talked about threads.......maybe I missed the threads.....but I would like to know your opinion on Teddy Pendergrass......if you can... add your top 5 Teddy songs.

    Thanks

I'm a huge fan of Harold Melvin And The Blue Notes and Teddy's later solo career. I was brokenhearted when Teddy crashed his Bentley (?) and broke his neck.

    Hi,Super D
I was wondering the same about Millie Jackson.I dont have so much time to check all the threads but I believe that there aren t many reports or references about her music her great voice e.t.c.Maybe because their music(Millie ,Teddy) is considered more soul than disco - funk and dont forget that this is a disco forum.Anyway,"only you" is my favourite track from Teddy. Also I like LOVE T.K.O.

I think we've hit on Teddy before in the forums. Not a lot, but his name has definitely been tossed out there. One of the best male vocalists around before his accident.

    My five:

THE MORE I GET, THE MORE I WANT
DON'T LEAVE ME THIS WAY (with HM & BN)
EASY, EASY, GOT TO TAKE IT EASY
    LIFE IS A CIRCE
WAKE UP EVERYBODY (with HM & BN)

If you're British, play someone the first few bars of Teddy Pendergrass's "Love T.K.O." and they'll say "That's the 'Muller Light' advert! :P

(Muller light is a yogurt available in stores that does lots of TV advertising)
