    The Ritchie Family's "Quiet Village"

I've read posts from a couple of people raving about this song but don't know which album it's on. Can someone clue me in? I'm also looking for a Barry White song called "Any Fool Could See(You Were Meant for Me)". I found it on a home made cassette I made over a decade ago, but can't remember where I found the original recording (it may have been a 45 only release). I don't see it listed on any of his greatest hits collections, so if someone knows where it can be found I'd appreciate it. I need a higher quality recording than the one I have on cassette. Thanks.

"Quiet Village" is on the African Queens LP. An edit was released on 7", but the full length version is only on the LP (no 12") AFAIK.

    "You sexy thing
    you turn me on
keep rockin' steady all night long"........

That's the lyric added to the lushly orchestrated Les Baxter Fifties lounge classic in the Ritchie Family version... a terrific record, unfortunately part of a medley mix on side 2 of the LP. Would love a separate 12" version of this track only.

It appeared on his 1979 album "The Message Is Love" on the Unlimited Gold label. It was also released on CD on the Priority label

Nothing's more frustrating than wanting a particular song and not knowing where to find it, now I know where to look. Thanks again.
