    Darth Vader becomes Architect.

Hayden Christensen, the actor who plays Anakin Skywalker/Lord Darth Vader in the recent Star Wars Trilogy is considering to quit Hollywood and to study Architecture. The reason is that he doesn't find the Biz interesting anymore and he doesn't want to sell his soul for a movie-carreer.

Yeah right, selling your soul to the Dark Side first and then complaining about Hollywood :o Duh!

He can now of course afford to buy his way into to any profession regardless of talent or absence of such, being a resident of Los Angeles. After one month's crash course on architecture whch no doubt would include careful studying of how details of each and every construction detail works, different approaches to interpreting stylistic languages, learning of comprehensive building codes and regulations, plus guidance to computer-aided designin which for mortals takes several years to master, he no doubt will think himself ready to take on monumental tasks as a fully qualified professional. Before finding himself totally at a loss 2 days later, bored and ready to give up and move to the next career idea that pops into his spoiled head, he could be of use in Holloywood, though, as he could show Lucas & co how archietcture should be used in film as opposed to in movies. As a case he could screen them a couple of Greenaway films, or even "L'Immortel", for starters.

As Mr. Lucas hardly builds sets for his films anymore, and uses green screen and CGI, he wouldn't have much use for Hayden as an architect.

And CGEs are of course one of the main reasons why magic is gone from Hollywood movies.

Finally!! When I make this remark to youngsters they usually say that I'm a grumpy old man. There's too much computeranimation in today's moviebusiness.

But still, check out the "Sin City" - sometimes they do get it right in Hollywood. But that film is by Robert Rodriquez with a little help from Mr Tarantino so it's bound to be a rarity.
