Vincent Montana, Jr. is presently in the hospital preparing to take his first step toward a healthy recovery. Update on Vince Montana's condition:

I'm sorry the above statement/posting was vague, but Vince's family didn't want to scare anyone or jump to conclusions. I received a phone call yesterday from his daughter with an update. Here's the full story:

Last week Vince Montana had been working in the studio on new material when he started complaining of pains and shortness of breath. He tried to put it off thinking it was simply indigestion, but it was obvious that it was more serious than that. He was admitted to the hospital where it was found that he had probably suffered one or two small heart attacks.

Vince underwent a triple by-pass on Thursday and is now recovering in the hospital. There were some initial and serious complications due to his kidneys not being able to work as they should. Doctors thought this could complicate heart surgery, but thankfully it wasn't. He was put on dialysis before surgery and all went well.

I've spoken to Vince's wife and daughter and everyone is relieved that the worst is now behind them. They also want to thank all those who sent their well wishes. Be well Vince and we all wish you a speedy recovery.

UPDATE:
Spoke to Vince's wife earlier today and Vince took a turn for the worse this past week. Without getting into all the details the doctors found fluid/blood in his lungs. He has been under sedation for the past few days and everyone is hoping for the best. We wish Vince and his family only the very best.

Just wanted to give everyone the good news that Vince Montana will be leaving the hospital in the next few days. While he will need to remain on dialysis for some time everything else is looking good for him. We wish him all the best.
