I'm amused and you're damn right!
Just bought the CHANGE album a few weeks ago and noticed the same thing. It's nice if you can use your own songs as sample and make some money again![]()
is anyone else amused by the guy who's suing Janet Jackson and her producers, claiming they stole his song and re-did it as "All for You?" I laughed hard when I heard about this, since "All for You" is based on a VERY obvious sample of one of my favorite all-time songs, the Change classic "The Glow of Love." I don't own Janet's album (I'm a bit tired of her) but I'm sure the album acknowledges the source of the sample, especially since Jimmy Jam and Terry Lewis eventually produced Change themselves.

Jam & Lewis didn't write or produce "Glow of Love"

Yeah, you're right buckaroo!
It's probably a misunderstanding, the song to which olskinflint referred shouldn't be "glow of love", but "you are my melody" from the CHANGE album "change of heart" (1984). At least that's what I was thinking of...
Although Janet is still great!!! And so are Jimmy Jam and Terry Lewis!
actually I was wrong: "all for you" contains a sample from "the glow of love" and NOT from "you are my melody"!!!
Although the songs sound very similar. nearly the same harmonies...
