Ok folks. I see at the MSN home site they are having a vote of the best disco songs. At first I was happy to see the acknowledgement our favorite music is getting. Then I saw the choice of songs which included Miss You. I don't even consider it disco though some of you. Even then I don't believe it would make it in the top ten. Anyway I didn't even bother voting, I was that deflated. You can check the site here.

    they should have called it:
ALL-TIME TO MUCH HEARD and BEST KNOWN DISCO SONGS, THAT WE WOULD LIKE TO SELL AN OVERPRICE CD FROM.

altough that: Turn the Beat Around / Vicki Sue Robinson, doesn't ring a bell for me.

    edit:

Funny, i just read in the "Ask Others To Identify A Song For You"- forum that SUTNOP just discoverd this song to. I guees this must be again one of these songs that are wll known in America, but not over here in europe.
So you like the song SUTNOP?? I guess i'll have a listen then on the MSN.MUSIC site.

That's funny about "Turn The Beat Around".

Big hit in the U.S.--Dance charts & pop charts. Vicki Sue even got a Grammy nomination for that.

I never suspected the rest of the world didn't know it.

one of my best memories of early disco was walking into the club and "turn the beat" was blasting the house, this is one of the best Disco songs ever, the break along is a classic, Gloria's version is a joke , she can't even hit the high notes.

Did the DJ's in your clubs kill the volume and let the crowds carry the "with a rat tat tat tat on the drums" (second verse only)?

Always worked --- and the lightman never stopped. Great early disco song.
