    Silver Convention Question

Did SC ever actually sing a full song on any of their albums or did they just repeat the title over and over like "Fly Robin Fly" or "Get Up and Boogie".

I've never heard any of their albums.

Spend The Night With Me one of their later "hits" had the traditional verse/chorus sung...there probably were others.

The singing of the title phrase--i.e. "Fly, Robin, Fly", "Do the Hustle" or "here comes the Express" (instrumentals with "vocal coloring" according to the Grammy people) was big in 1975...probably owing to the earlier success of "TSOP (The Sound of Philadelphia)"
--an instrumental until the end when the Three Degrees suddenly appear to chant "Let's get it on...it's time to get down."

I've never heard any of their albums.

I remember "Mission To Venus" (12" version) getting alot of club play. One of my favorites was "Dancing In The Aisles" from the "Madhouse" LP. Although it was lyrically challenged (like the others) it was a great tune....sort of an end of the night song.

Speaking of Spend the Night with Me by Silver Convention, doen anyone know if there is a 12" version of this song? I really like it and would love to hear an extended version of it. The only one I've ever seen is the album edit, which clocks at around 4:15.

    Thanks in advance,
    Nick

    Spend The Night 12"

There was a 12" out of "Spend The Night With Me". I entered it into the record vault last week. I found it at a flea market somewhere years after it was released. When it was popular I had to play the LP version. Seems like Midsong were a bit stingy with their promos then.
