It's not really a disco movie but reading the "Da ya think I'm sexy" topic I remembered I went to see this one because there was one Rod Stewart song in the soundtrack (yes, back then I tried to see anything with rock/disco music in it).
The thing was a soft-porn flick produced by Romano Vanderbes (of "This is America" fame) and the script was an update of French classic "La Ronde". A girl went out with a guy, this guy then does it with another girl, and the new girl with another guy, etc. (some years ago there was a theater version with Nicole Kidman showing her stuff, I'm sure you remember :) )
Nothing so far out of a Zalman King turd, but anyway it was NY in its pre-AIDS days or so it seemed: it starts with a rich groupie doin' it with a rock star she picks up on her limo (the girl is ABSOLUTELY GORGEOUS) and at the end she closes the circle appearing enticingly in her father's bedroom (wow!). As the poor guy sighed seeing this goddess stripping for him you could hear old Rod singing "Passion" as the image faded into the film credits.
The tagline could go (I'm making this up) "They were PASSIONATE! They were DOOMED! They were in NEW YORK!"
Do you remember this movie? And who was the girl? (I'm not sure if IMDB lists the cast in appearing order).
I saw this one 20 years ago and never caught it again, but I remember some pretty wild stuff (there was some kind of orgy in a club á la Plato's Retreat legend). Willem Dafoe did a very small part towards the end of the movie.
It looks like IMBD lists the cast in order of appearance based on the fact that Dafoe's name is towards the end of the listing. The 'girl' could be either Lisa Peluso or Susan Dava. Lisa Peluso is still working in tv but Susan Dava has not done anything since 1984, according to IMDB.
