a) master is no longer in good orderOriginally Written by olskinflint
b) contractual problems
c) refusal by artists or copyright owners to allow further exploitation (normally refused for money reasons)
d) simply not enough money to be made / big enough market
e) no obvious interest in material to be released. Re-releases don't really further the overall cause of music, when the original makers and consumers are still alive and (lets be honest here) most people view them as rip offs / cheapskate products, because all the hard work has been done and paid for at previous prices.
Are they enough reasons?
