Toyota commercial song

There is an old disco soul song in Toyota's recent commercials for the Nationwide Sales Drive 2005 I know I have heard but can't think of it. It has a brassy horn and the male voice sings "just move on up." I am thinking maybe Isley brothers circa 1974 but it's not "That Lady" and I am stumped. Any ideas?

DD is right of course!!!

It's the original version of Move On Up--later covered by Destination in 1979.

there was a nice 12" full version released in the u.k a few years ago on curtom, must be deleted by now,watch that in the years to come..
i saw a u.s 7" promo sell on ebay the other month for $268 :o yes thats right! my fingers didnt slip

Ah! Thanks a lot DD and markydefad! My job is about TV commercials, so this helps. I should've known; I have the Destination "Move On Up, Up, Up" version, never got around to Curtis' but I heard it somewhere before, now I have to get it, too. Do you know the original album it is on and do you think that album is as good as a whole? If not, I guess I will go for a collection.

there was a great 3 c.d box set around a couple of years ago,i cant recall the title though i have it,it was a good price too invest

The first solo album by the former leader of the Impressions, Curtis represented a musical apotheosis for Curtis Mayfield — indeed, it was practically the "Sgt. Pepper's" album of '70s soul, helping with its content and its success to open the whole genre to much bigger, richer musical canvases than artists had previously worked with. All of Mayfield's years of experience of life, music, and people were pulled together into a rich, powerful, topical musical statement that reflected not only the most up-to-date soul sounds of its period, finely produced by Mayfield himself, and the immediacy of the times and their political and social concerns, but also embraced the most elegant R&B sounds out of the past. As a producer, Mayfield embraced the most progressive soul sounds of the era, stretching them out compellingly on numbers like "Move on Up," but also drew on orchestral sounds (especially harps), to achieve some striking musical timbres (check out "Wild and Free"), and wove all of these influences, plus the topical nature of the songs, into a neat, amazingly lean whole. Hey markydefad, thanks for all the loads of info! No, I work for a broadcast retrieval service; a lot of our clients are from ad agencies. Rhino have reissued a lot of good stuff with great packaging but there seems to be a lot of variation in how easy their stuff is to find after the years go by. I'm going to try to find that first Curtis album and check out the box set if I see it.
