Your Top 3 Disco Dance craze in your town?

A friend of mine...we'll call(DiscoDave :o )reminded me of a few popular Dance styles that we.....ah I mean (he) did back in the Disco Days.

What were the Top 3 Disco Dance Crazes in your Town/ part of the World?

The Top three dance styles in Detroit:

1. The "East-side Hustle"(which is still popular today!)
2. The "Jit"(Similar to Lock'in, more footwork)
3. The "Robot" tied/ with the Soul Train Line Hustle.


I know everyone did the Latin Style Ballroom .....but I'm talking about your Towns "destinctive moves" :D

SUPER D the robot was popular everywhere,but i do believe it came from detroit,and originally called the mechanical man :P

It took guts to do the point hereabouts - people could get irritated as hell if you pointed at them too long or shuffled sideways too near to bring attention to their nasty pair of old shoes or something. You had to remember to point with some courtesy to your fellow dancers. Doing the dance too much was too much naturally.
