    Working on a film festival

Hi... It's been some time since my last post so maybe I should tell you why. OK, what the heck, the fact is I want to announce with pride -I'm putting my tie at this moment- that I've been working on a film festival! :D
I've been trying to say it naturally, like it's everyday routine, but anytime a friend asks me about it, I recognize I'm like smiling too much... It's really a very good job, if a bit tiring sometimes. (but it's true!)
Thing is, I was offered this gig last November... and the Festival took place in April! Just four months to get everything in shape. It's been quite a ride, specially for the new programmers (including myself) and the new director of the event. The Festival took place in Buenos Aires in between April 12th and 24th, with some 290 feature films plus like a hundred short films. There were around 200 foreign people invited, many conferences, etc.
My job was in the selection of the feature-lenght material so it was kind of a loooong sit-in with whole bunchs of DVD and VHS copies of the material, plus some screenings in film format. Then, helping write a 300-pages plus catalogue. And then, once the festival began, to do many PR work (the most tiring for me  ) including lunchs, some film presentations and interviews. And of course parties, but by midnight I was so wasted I just went to the opening one.
Here's a couple of links -I hope the posting goes well- for anyone curious about the event and the material screened. The first is the official site, the other a review by a film festivals site (in English).

hey, I have no problem with the Salma fever :)

Maybe we should convince Paul to make a Salma Film Festival. That way she'd be to appear there in person :D

(BTW, I finally rented "54" and, quite frankly, I expected a lot more body exposure given all the bla-bla about the movie. And there's a shot in the dressing room where you can confirm the great Salma is in fact petite! :)
But don't tell this to Paul, he could get upset )
