Anyone watching "The Office" TV show?

Must say that I've gotten hooked on the NBC show, "The Office." I really like this one. Love the quirkiness of it all and the characters are all people you may have worked with, but multiplied by a factor of 100! Love the tension between Pam and Jim as well.

I don't know, maybe it's just nice watching a show without a canned laugh/audience track. Anyone else watching this? Thoughts?

OMG-addicted to the maxxx! SALMA, schwiiing!

Bernie, I think it's the American remake you referring to. That one I haven't seen but here we had the original and it was one of the only series I have watched and enjoyed. Reality Tv by actors and a great pastiche. Excellent!

I see said the blind man... So there was a European version of The Office then? Interesting.

The US version is not a reality show, but very well done. I believe the boss in the US version is actually a Canadian actor if that means anything.

Ahh, that explains its wry slightly off the wall humor. I love it!

The Office was a huge success in the UK & has made its star/writer, Ricky Jervais, into a wealthy man. I like to call it 'cringe comedy' as it makes me cringe at how embarassing it can be. :-?

Something tells me our version is tame by comparison, but it's a breath of fresh air compared to the other shows currently on US TV. Can't wait to see the next episode, which I believe might be the final show for the season.

It was a real ratings winner here; the Xmas special was i think the most-watched TV show of the season!

Hmm, doesn't seem to be getting anywhere near the fanfare the UK version did. Judging from the lack of posts here I have a feeling that this great show may not see another season here in the US. Hope that's not the case though as I really enjoy it. Maybe they will make it available on DVD.

Just got the box with the two seasons and the X-mas specials. I can watch it over and over again. David Brent (Ricky Gervais) is the best manager ever IMHO

I didn't see the American version yet but I doubt it would beat the original

Now Gervais' new comedy "Extra's" will be on Belgian television. Hope it's just as good.

I've tried watching "The Office". It's witty and very well written but just like it's British counterpart, for some reason, the camera bounces around like the cameraman is on a trampoline and I find it physically painful to watch. And on the British version, the accents are so THICK I don't understand a lot of the dialogue.
