    what is the best needle to use on 12" disco records?

    are ortofons (concord) format the best choice on house or disco records?asuming there is only one track on each side of the record.

    I vote for the concorde. They have slightly less dynamics and less freq range (in the highs) than the "thin" needles you find on many traditional cartridges. But good tracking, good low freq etc makes it my choice.

    Needles


     

     

    There was a time when Pickering and Shure were the cartridges/needles to get, but the Orthophon Concorde Pro is the way to go!
