    trying to id a song

    folks,

there's a song i've been looking for that i don't know they name to. i'd sing it, but i couldn't hold a tune to save my life. i only know part of the lyrics and it goes something like this:

    CHROUS:
    don't stop the love
    don't stop
    don't stop the love
    don't stop
    ~
    you and me in paradise....

if i hade to catagorize it i would say the vocals sound a little like a cross between marvin gaye and issac hayes

if someone could help me out i'd really appreciate it....

Hi, I am quite sure that the song is

    Booker T - Don't stop your love ( 1982, A&M )

from the album 'I want you'. Only the paradise part would be 'You were made in paradise' instead of 'You and me in paradise'.

    I agree it's the Booker T. record "Don't Stop Your Love"--great one.

Thanks so much for your reply. Yesterday was the first time I visited the site. All I can say is that it's GREAT!!!! Brings back lots of memories; Casablanac, Brielle NJ, DJ's Belmar NJ, The Underground, Hoboken NJ, The Soap Factory. etc....

    Again, thanx much!!!!
