I remember it like it was yesterday. I heard "10 Per Cent" by Double Exposure at a club. I went to a record store (a chain, now defunct) called Harmony Hut - it was in a mall. The salesguy told me it was a 12". I had no clue what that meant. I only knew LPs and 45s. He explained that it was extended version of the original song and it was the same size as an LP but only had one song on it. I paid $2.39. The second one I bought several weeks later was "I Gotta Keep Dancing" by Carrie. I was hooked ever since.
